Our Hydrotherapy Services

Pain Relief

We use warm water to relax tight muscles and reduce joint load. Gentle exercises in the pool can ease stiffness and support regular activity when land exercise hurts.

Post-Surgery Rehab

We support early recovery after procedures like knee or hip replacements. The pool allows safe, low load movement while you build confidence and routine.

Arthritis Support

We help you move freely. Buoyancy lowers the strain on stiff joints so exercise feels easier and more comfortable.

Balance & Mobility

We build confidence with walking and balance practice in a supported pool setting. It is a calm place to work on steadiness without fear of falls.

How Hydrotherapy Works

1.

Initial Assessment & Consultation

We start on land. Your physiotherapist or exercise physiologist listens, checks movement and screens for pool safety. This includes any medical cautions and the help you may need to enter or exit the pool. Sessions are supervised.
2.

Treatment Planning

We design your water program. The pool is warm, usually about 33 to 34 degrees Celsius, which helps muscles relax and joints move with less stress. Your plan sets simple, safe exercises that match your comfort and goals.
3.

Active Treatment & Intervention

You begin gentle movement in warm water. Buoyancy lowers the load on painful joints. Natural water resistance supports strength and control without strain. Your clinician guides pace, posture and rest breaks.
4.

Re-Education & Functional Training

We practise balance, walking drills and everyday movements in a supportive setting. The pool lets you work on stability without fear of falling. This step builds confidence for life outside the water.
5.

Progress Review & Outcome Measurement

We check how you feel and how you move. Your clinician reviews comfort, range and functional tasks. The program is adjusted as you improve so sessions stay practical and safe.

6.

Maintenance & Prevention

You leave with simple routines and an ongoing plan. Some people continue pool sessions. Others use land drills at home. The aim is steady activity that fits your week.
