Our clinics boast some of the best facilities in the industry with treatment offices, full motor development rooms, sensory rooms, full rehab gyms, hydrotherapy pools and purpose-built paediatric spaces with swings, rock climbing walls and a complete suite of resources.

We support over 100 students per year currently supporting programs with UNSW, ACU, UOW, Uni of Canberra, WSU, USYD, UTS, UNE and UTAS. We are always looking to expand, so if you’re a student or representative or another university, please get in contact.

If you are a university student in your 3rd or 4th year, or studying your masters, we want to hear from you. We have supervising practitioners with mixed caseloads ready to support students in the following program placements.

What we offer

Placement duration varies depending on the university and year of student. We have programs running in 5 and 10 week blocks but are flexible and are able to support alternative placements periods. Our supervising practitioners are very experienced and familiar with the university placement programs. Our program has been so successful that previous placements have created job opportunities for candidates to go on and join Optimum team on a casual or full-time basis.

Our Graduate Program is designed to provide industry-leading support, mentorship and a culture of continued education and development. Assisting new graduates to transition to the workforce within a nurturing environment is pivotal to success. What you can expect from the program

Through weekly, fortnightly, and quarterly professional development, training & mentorship sessions, our industry-leading internal clinical development and mentoring programme ensures that all of our clinicians are fully supported. As a result, you have the chance to advance your clinical skill set and customise you’re training and caseload to fit your areas of interest. Our program has been so successful that previous placements have created job opportunities for candidates to go on and join Optimum team on a casual or full-time basis.

With a strong NDIS and disability focus, our practitioner roles are challenging and rewarding role for the right person, with lots of scope for development and diverse application of your professional skills and experience.

The position provides a vast variety of client conditions and client streams, and can include paediatric and or adult clients depending on your preference. We also work with you to tailor a caseload that best suits your clinical and career development and areas of interest.

Training & Development

Development Our industry leading internal Clinical Development and Mentorship Program ensures all our Practioners are fully supported through weekly, fortnightly and quarterly professional development, training & mentorship sessions, meaning you have the opportunity to develop your clinical skill set and tailor your training and caseload to meet your areas of interest. You will have access to up to $20k in Professional Development and regular clinical supervision and mentorship.
