WOMEN'S HEALTH

Can you feel that something just isn’t right?

Maybe you’re crossing your legs every time you sneeze. Maybe there’s pain you’ve been told is “just part of being a mum.” Maybe you feel a heaviness you haven’t mentioned to anyone.

These things are common.
But common doesn’t mean you have to live with it.

Our women’s health physiotherapists and exercise physiologists see women at every stage – pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and beyond. We listen first. Then we help you understand what’s happening and what we can do about it together.

WHAT WE OFFER

Pelvic Floor Assessment and Rehabilitation

We look at how your pelvic floor actually functions – not just whether you can squeeze. Using real-time ultrasound and (where appropriate and with your consent) internal assessment, we identify whether the issue is weakness, tightness, coordination, or something else. Then we give you a clear plan.

Pregnancy and Postpartum Care

Back pain, pelvic girdle pain, mastitis, C-section scar recovery, abdominal separation. We support you through pregnancy and help your body recover after birth – including knowing when you’re ready to return to exercise safely.

Prolapse Management

Prolapse is more common than people realise, and there are options beyond surgery. We provide thorough assessment, conservative treatment, and pessary fitting and management for women who need it.

Exercise Physiology

Our EPs work alongside our physios to provide pelvic floor strengthening programs, pregnancy-safe exercise, clinical Pilates, and menopause fitness support.

Dietetics

For women with gut symptoms, hormonal conditions like PCOS or POTS, or concerns about how nutrition affects their pelvic health, our dietitians provide targeted support.

Hydrotherapy

Warm water exercise for pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and pelvic pain management. Available at Blacktown, Croydon Park, Campbelltown, and Mornington (TAS).

Frequently Asked Questions

No referral is needed for private or NDIS appointments. If you want to claim Medicare rebates, you’ll need a GP Care Plan (Chronic Disease Management plan) first.

An internal examination is never required and always your choice. If your physio recommends one, they’ll explain exactly what’s involved and only proceed with your full consent. Many concerns can be assessed externally using real-time ultrasound.

You can see us from six weeks postpartum – or earlier if you have concerns like mastitis or significant pain. We tailor the assessment to where you are in your recovery.
Leaking during exercise is common, but it’s not something you just have to accept. Pelvic floor rehabilitation often makes a significant difference. Take the screener and let’s work out what’s happening.
