PELVIC HEALTH PROGRAM

One in three women will experience pelvic floor dysfunction at some point in their lives. For men, incontinence after prostate surgery affects the majority in the first year.

These are common problems. But most people don’t realise how much can be done about them.

Our pelvic health program brings together physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, and dietitians who understand bladder, bowel, and pelvic floor concerns – and who work together so you’re not bouncing between providers with no one joining the dots.

Whether you’re dealing with leakage, pain, prolapse, or recovery after surgery, we start with a conversation about what’s happening and what your options are.

WHO WE HELP

Pelvic health concerns affect people differently depending on their anatomy, life stage, and circumstances. We see:

Women

Women dealing with pregnancy-related pain, postpartum recovery, prolapse, incontinence, painful intercourse, endometriosis, PCOS, and the pelvic changes that come with perimenopause and menopause.

Men

Men dealing with incontinence before or after prostate surgery, bladder urgency, pelvic pain, and recovery after abdominal or hernia surgery.

Anyone

Anyone dealing with chronic pelvic pain, bladder dysfunction, constipation and bowel concerns, or gut health issues that affect pelvic function.

If you’re not sure where you fit, that’s fine. The screener helps us work it out together.

HOW WE WORK

We don’t treat pelvic symptoms in isolation.

When you come to us, we look at the whole picture – your pelvic floor, your posture, your breathing, your gut, your history. Because a bladder problem might actually be a pelvic floor coordination issue. Constipation might be driving prolapse symptoms. Pain might be connected to muscle tension you didn’t know you had.

Our physios assess and treat. Our exercise physiologists build strength and function. Our dietitians address the gut and hormonal factors that affect pelvic health. And we talk to each other – so your care actually connects.

The team includes:

  • Pelvic health physiotherapists with additional training through the APA Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health pathway
  • Exercise physiologists trained in pelvic floor strengthening, pregnancy, and post-surgical rehab
  • Dietitians who support gut health, hormone balance, and conditions like PCOS and POTS
