What a Paediatric Physiotherapist does
Paediatric Physiotherapists are movement specialists for babies, children and adolescents. Therapy aims to promote healthy growth, optimal gross motor development and minimise the effects of physical and sensory impairments so that children are able to reach their unique potential.
We form part of your child's overall health program
Our highly skilled clinicians work closely alongside a team of Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists utilising standardised assessment tools and research based innovative therapy programs to meet your child’s goals.
Our Physiotherapists will network with your professional healthcare team such like Peadiatricians, Orthopaedic & Neuro Specialists, Podiatrists, Orthotists, Occupational therapists, Speech Pathologists, Behaviour Therapists & Psychologists to ensure the best possible treatment outcomes for your child.
The importance of early intervention in Paediatrics
The connections in a baby’s brain which are foundations for learning, behavior and health are most adaptable in the first three years of life.
Therefore, early intervention services can assist in identifying areas of concern and change a child’s developmental trajectory and life outcomes.
