Melissa Vuong

Melissa graduated with a Masters of Occupational Therapy in 2016. Melissa utilises a holistic, child centred, play based and developmental approach to therapy. She enjoys working collaboratively with parents and caregivers to ensure that children maximise their participation and engagement in their daily life activities. She is certified to provide DIR Floortime and SOS Approach to Feeding Therapy. Melissa also has a special interest in Sensory Processing and Cerebral Palsy. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her 2 young boys, cooking and spending time in the outdoors.

A Paediatric OT focuses on improving your child’s participation and engagement in their everyday occupations. They evaluate the environment, sensory processing, postural control, motor planning and other areas to determine the underlying cause of the problem. Once the cause is identified, the therapist works on these underlying areas of need to improve their foundation skills.
