ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Speech Pathology Clinical Head / Clinical Lead of Neurological Conditions, Dysphagia and Voice, your clinical knowledge combined with your leadership, mentorship, and education experience will shape the future of clinical excellence within Optimum Health Solutions. You will elevate clinical practice standards, develop advanced learning pathways, and mentor clinicians across the organisation in your clinical focus areas.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the AHW CPD Program and developing high-quality professional development courses
  • Presenting expert content in face-to-face workshops
  • Providing 1:1 mentorship and clinical supervision to staff
  • Leading and supporting best-practice management in neurological conditions, dysphagia, and voice
  • Maintaining a clinical caseload of 24 hours per week
  • Engaging with industry leaders and contributing to research-driven practice improvements

ABOUT YOU:

To be successful in securing this incredibly rewarding role, applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including extensive work in neurological conditions, dysphagia, voice disorders, and complex communication needs
  • Advanced clinical knowledge in assessment, intervention, and management of neurological communication and swallowing disorders
  • Proven ability to maintain a clinical caseload of 24 hours per week
  • Completion of recognised, gold-standard training in neurological speech pathology, dysphagia, and/or voice
  • Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
  • Ability to contribute to the development of professional development programs and clinical education initiatives
  • Strong mentorship and coaching skills, with the ability to support, guide, and upskill clinicians at various levels
  • Ability to model best-practice clinical standards while meeting performance expectations
  • Commitment to person-centred and family-centred care
  • Commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and meaningful participation for clients with disability
  • Ability to work within scope of practice, seek guidance when appropriate, and ensure high-quality clinical outcomes
