Optimum Health Solutions is seeking a Clinical Head of Paediatric Rehabilitation to lead clinical excellence across our growing paediatric physiotherapy services while helping shape the next generation of clinicians through education, mentoring and course development.

Working closely with our National Head of Clinical Development for Physical Rehabilitation, you’ll influence clinical standards, support clinician development and create industry-leading education for Allied Health professionals across Australia.

With 14 clinics across NSW and Tasmania, more than 200 clinicians across seven Allied Health disciplines and over 20 years of delivering exceptional client outcomes, Optimum Health Solutions is one of Australia’s leading multidisciplinary Allied Health organisations.

About the Role
This is a hybrid clinical leadership position combining active clinical practice with education, mentoring and service development.

You’ll continue treating children while also helping drive clinical excellence across the organisation.

Your responsibilities include:

Clinical Leadership

  • Lead clinical excellence across our paediatric rehabilitation services
  • Support clinical governance, quality improvement and evidence-based practice
  • Drive best-practice paediatric physiotherapy across multiple clinics

Clinical Education & Mentoring

  • Provide individual mentoring and clinical supervision to Physiotherapists
  • Develop structured clinical education pathways
  • Deliver internal workshops and professional development programs
  • Create online education courses for our Allied Health Professional Development Platform
  • Contribute to the growth of our education platform and earn commission through course sales and subscriptions

Clinical Practice

  • Maintain an active paediatric physiotherapy caseload (approximately 24 billable hours per week)
  • Assess and treat infants, preschool-aged children, school-aged children and adolescents
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions for developmental, neurological and functional conditions

Service Development

  • Support innovation across community and clinic-based paediatric services
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve client outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement across clinical services

About You
We’re looking for an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist who enjoys mentoring others, sharing knowledge and driving clinical excellence.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor or Postgraduate Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Current General Registration with AHPRA
  • Approximately 5+ years’ experience in paediatric physiotherapy
  • Extensive experience working within the NDIS and community paediatric sector
  • Strong clinical skills across developmental, neurological and functional presentations
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for mentoring, supervision and clinician development
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle

Highly Regarded

  • APA Titled Paediatric Physiotherapist (or working towards Titling)
  • Experience delivering professional education, workshops or clinical training
  • Experience developing clinical education programs, supervision frameworks or learning resources
  • Previous leadership or senior clinician experience
