Optimum Health Solutions is seeking a Physiotherapy Discipline Area Manager to join our growing leadership team and help shape the future of Physiotherapy services across our organisation.

About the Role
 
As Physiotherapy Discipline Area Manager, you will work closely with operational and clinical leaders to ensure Physiotherapists are supported, developed and empowered to achieve outstanding outcomes for both clients and the organisation. The role is centred around four key leadership pillars: 

Staff Performance 

  • Drive accountability to clinical standards, KPIs and performance expectations  
  • Support clinicians to achieve exceptional client outcomes  
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and evidence-based practice standards  

Staff Retention 

  • Foster a positive, supportive and inclusive team culture  
  • Implement strategies to improve engagement, wellbeing and job satisfaction  
  • Build a high-performing and connected Physiotherapy team  

Staff Development 

  • Create and implement individual career development plans  
  • Support clinical specialisation and professional growth pathways  
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and performance feedback  

Clinical Practice 

  • Maintain a clinical caseload of approximately 21 billable hours per week  
  • Lead by example through the delivery of high-quality Physiotherapy services  
  • Support clinicians with complex presentations and clinical decision-making  

About You 
You are a passionate Physiotherapist who enjoys developing people, driving clinical excellence and creating high-performing teams. 
You will bring: 

  • Minimum 4 years of Physiotherapy clinical experience  
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed performance expectations  
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring capability  
  • Proven ability to maintain clinical quality and positive client outcomes  
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills  
  • Strong organisational and workload management abilities  
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused leadership style  

Essential Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy  
  • Current AHPRA registration  
  • Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle  
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate  
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)  
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check  
  • National Police Check  
  • Medicare Provider Number (or eligibility to obtain)  
  • Ability to travel across multiple clinic locations when required
