About the Role
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will support our Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists in delivering evidence-based therapy services to children and families.
You will be involved in both individual and group-based therapy programs designed to help clients achieve meaningful outcomes and participate successfully in everyday environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clinicians with therapy sessions and program delivery
- Implementing treatment plans under the supervision of qualified practitioners
- Supporting individual and group-based therapy programs
- Writing progress notes and reports
- Collaborating with Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and other Allied Health professionals
- Supporting families, carers and stakeholders through education and communication
- Helping clients build skills, confidence and independence
About You
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping people and excited to build a career in Allied Health.
You will have:
- Current enrolment in a Master of Speech Pathology or Master of Occupational Therapy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
- Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
